Can you use melted crayons to color wax for candle making?
I make my own handmade candles, and i know crayons are made from wax….so if i melt a red crayon into my melted paraffin or soy wax, will it color all my wax red?
It will, but you’ll have to use so much more crayon. think of it as tinting. If you melt the red crayon into your soy wax it will give it a shade of red…also I would advise making sure you add oil, and don’t use crayon “coloring” for an unscented candle….The type of wax they use in crayon’s REAKS when it get’s hot, so it’s best to mask it with oils, and to use it sparingly….only due to the lack of potence, and the “off” smell, good LUCK!
