Floating Butterfly Candles
My centerpiece idea and not catching anything on fire (lol)?
Our wedding isn’t traditional nor is it very formal. We’re not really having flowers other than my bouquet and my MOH’s. (there aren’t any other bridesmaids)
For our centerpieces we’ve come up with the idea of a large Martini glass filled with purple water. In the water we’ll float a small candle(either red, white, or purple). On the table, around the base of the glass, we’ll put silk red rose petals. That’s all do-able, no problem. But, I wanted to have a white butterfly perched on the edge of the martini glass. What can be used to affix the butterfly to the glass that doesn’t look sloppy? What could the butterfly be made of? Aren’t they usually made of wire and some kind of material? It will be up out of the way, so I don’t think it will catch fire, do you?
